Well, it's the end of Week 2 and we have more progress! Exactly 15 days since the first shovel hit the lot and I'm pretty excited about where we are.
We have footings dug!
Mr. H and I slept in today, then went out and about. We grabbed some Starbucks on our way to check out the lot. Sidenote: I love warm beverages on a crisp morning. Anyway... :) I was keeping my fingers crossed that something had changed this week. I was going to be very disappointed and a little peeved if it looked the same again. I was definitely not disappointed! We walked around the lot and can see where all the rooms are going to be. So fun!

Now, if you're no building wiz, like myself, these next pictures might help you out. Don't get too bogged down in all the little details, just look at the bigger picture here. What we currently have are the trenches with rebar in them. They'll end up pouring our footings around this and then building up!
So, there's today's house update. With each step in the process I get more and more excited to see the next one! Stay tuned :)

Glad to see that things are happening on the lot. Just wait until the frame starts going up, that is when it seems real.
