We have closed on and moved into our home.
SO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last Friday (June 29) was a very eventful day. We woke up, broke down our bed frame, did a few last minute items on the closing checklist and headed to closing. We were homeowners at around 10:00am. We then headed home and got to work with this big 'ole truck.
Getting this 24 foot truck was an ordeal on Thursday! I won't go into all the lovely details, but let's just say we had a completely different truck reserved that somehow went missing and dad came to the rescue to drive this beast. Thanks dad!!
On Friday our wonderful friends sprung into action and got EVERYTHING we owned moved. Washer, dryer, refrigerator, HUGE bookcases, couches, bed frames, mattresses & box springs, multiple desks, Mr. H's complete weight set, a few TV's and TONS of boxes. We took two loads of this big truck as well as three cars twice. I cannot believe how wonderful our friends are. The Timpes, Gammills, and daddy worked so hard for so many hours. I cannot tell them THANK YOU enough.
Mr. H made a Chick-fil-a run mid-afternoon to grab everyone some lunch. Word to the wise, read the menu before you call in a platter order. Here's what the online menu says...
Keep in mind we didn't read this and had seven very hungry people to feed and wanted to have plenty of food. So...Mr. H ordered two large trays.Yeah, you read that right! We had 400 chicken nuggets, enough to serve 50 people. HA! We gave a lot of chicken nuggets away to our helpers and Mr. H enjoyed chicken nugget heaven for the next few days.
Anyway, by Friday evening we had all our belongings in our new home and crashed. On Saturday we cleaned the old house and relaxed. This week we've started the unpacking/house work/change address process. You know, all the little things that come with moving. It's been great to relax a little in our beautiful new home. As we get things put together I'll give you a tour.
Thanks to so many people for their prayers, support, and love!
