Wonderfully Fall Weekend

This weekend has been a great blend of everything autumn! Matthew and I carved our first pumpkin on Friday evening. Then on Saturday we enjoyed a beautiful day of hiking at Devils Den. It was almost too late but there were still a few trees showing their fall colors. Whatever the reason, the trees seemed to change color to brown and drop their leaves very quickly this year.

Today we cooked some chili soup and delicious pumpkin spice muffins. My parents came over and we enjoyed a fun evening together.
And the pumpkin spice muffins are wonderful (at least we all thought so) and incredibly easy! 1 box spice cake mix, 1 jar pumpkin, and 1 bag cinnamon chips. Just mix all three together and scoop into lined muffin pans. Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes. And a helpful hint--our WalMart doesn't carry cinnamon chips. Harps does though.

I just love this time of year--get out the sweats!!

Hard to believe your time at Gentry is over.
Time passes quickly.
