What truly matters

My usual musing about daily life and happenings need to take a back seat today.  I ask you for a few moments and some prayers.  And that you possible share with those near to you this prayer request.

A very close and dear friend of mine could use your support through prayer.  Her mommy is sick.  It's not life-threatening sickness, but she is hospitalized nonetheless.  Mommies are the rocks of life, they take care of others and always know exactly what to do.  But what do we do when our mommies need taking care of??  I have no idea...

She hasn't been feeling well for a few days now and was admitted to the hospital yesterday with pneumonia.  Her oxygen levels have gotten quite low and she is using a mask to receive full oxygen.  The nurse has said it's a waiting game and if her breathing doesn't improve they may put in a breathing tube.  Since it's a waiting game at the hospital, it's also a waiting game for my friend and her family.  In my opinion, these are often the worst because you feel so helpless and out of control.

So here are the requests:

• please pray for quick and complete healing of this precious mommy
• pray for the knowledge and decisions of the doctors and nurses
• pray for her family and my dear friend--that they may receive indescribable comfort, peace, and guidance
