NEW Goodies!

I've added some new fun things to my classroom--and I'm thrilled!

First, my AWESOME new filing cart. I have an "in" box and an "out" box for each class. The trays are removable and the whole cart is on wheels. Utterly perfect.

Next, my birthday circles! These have been up for a few weeks now, but I haven't shared a picture. The students designed and cut out their circles, then all I had to do was clip them to the ribbons. The students really love looking at them as they enter the room.

Another thing I love--the way my students turn in work. I've had this system since the end of last year but I just have to show a pic :) Each pocket has a number #1-28 and then the bottom two rows have class period numbers and a section for "Missing Work" forms. On a daily basis, students turn in their homework to their numbers (1-28). I can easily see who turned in homework and who did not. Then, when I grab the homework out of the pockets, it's all in alphabetical order! YAY! Easy to put in the gradebook :) We have a policy at our school that allows students to turn in late work for multiple weeks. The pockets at the bottom have class period numbers and students turn in all late/absent work there. This way, all that random hodge-podge stuff is already sorted by class period. This saves me TONS of time when I go to the gradebook.

Lastly, my new "Criteria for Credit" posters above my turn in area. They're pretty simple but it can't hurt, right?! Students know exactly what I expect and are accountable for it. I made them in Microsoft Publisher, printed them off, put each on a piece of construction paper, and laminated. All at school and FREE to me! Even better!!! I really like the way they all turned out and might have to make some more signs...

So there's the latest and greatest from my classroom! Overall, I LOVE my classroom and LOVE my job. I am blessed. :)
