Let the Packing Begin!

Packing probably should have started awhile ago, but hey, we have been extremely busy! Both of our work schedules have been hectic and stressful lately, meaning that even more than normal we just want to relax when we get home. Mr. H and I both completed large projects today (YAY!) so hopefully checking those off our list will free us up to pack more.

This week I disassembled our guest bed and then my daddy helped me move it out. I think everything in this big and packed-full house is now ours. Wowzers!

oh yeah, check out that progress! ha!

Since we'll be completely out of this house in 15 days, I guess it's about time to get down to business. It doesn't really help that Mr. H and I are NOT fans of packing. Blah. Gag. Gross! Oh, what's that you say, you love packing? Excellent!! Head on over and I'll give you some pizza for your trouble.

In other news, I decided to be a good wifey this week and take mowing off Mr. H's to do list. Now, the mower and I have a very love-hate relationship, actually just a hate relationship. It will not start. Ever. It hates me. But never fear, I persevered and mastered the thing this week! I was doing great until....

Yeah... do you see the size of that thing?!?!?! I realize that there are spiders in the yard and I see them crawling around by my feet while I mow. I either try to ignore them or play a game and see how many I can run over. :) I hate spiders in case you weren't aware. But this thing. Holy cow!! It moved the grass, enough that I thought it might be a little snake at first, as it came catapulting out of the grass right by my feet and up the side of the house. Oh gag. And let me tell you, this thing can haul booty. Fast little devil. I shrieked, I jumped, I pulled my ear buds out of my phone and snapped a quick picture, and then I ran inside. Mowing complete for the day. No, I didn't kill it. As much as I hate the thought of it still being in our yard, I hate the thought of it jumping towards me as I try to kill it even more. Ridiculous? Quite possibly. Now, if we had loaded gun nearby I might go after it... Don't judge. I hate these creatures. And that one is just huge.

But anyway, on to better things :)

Mr. H and I have a pretty eventful weekend and decided to stop by the house tonight after dinner.

Here's the beautiful place - complete with driveway

I have nicknamed this area the "landing pad" :)
perfect spot for a basketball hoop if Mr. H and I had ever played. ha!

here is the extended back patio area

and outdoor speakers

Now the doors were locked, but I can give you a rundown from a trip earlier in the week.
The hard wood floor in the study is complete.
The surround sound speakers in the media room are installed.
The security system is ready to go.
All appliances have been delivered and most are installed.
The electricity and water are on.
The interior is swept and clean.

So close!!!
