THANK YOU!

First of all, THANK YOU! Many of you who read this blog are the same people who have been wonderfully patient with me throughout the last couple weeks. Special shout out here to Mr. H and my LJHS family. I have been working an insane amount of hours on Common Core implementation for our district. Three other ladies and myself have put our personal lives on hold for about two weeks. We have been overwhelmed, sleep deprived, and scatter brained. I am proud to announce that life, WE ARE BACK! We completed the work this afternoon that has been all-consuming. We definitely still have more work to do, but it can now be completed individually on our own time schedule with group deadlines. We will be meeting a couple times throughout the summer and, if all goes as planned, will have a completely new curriculum to implement before school begins in August. I am very proud of us.

Today has been superb! The above mentioned re-entrance to life definitely contributes to that. Mr. H and I are also celebrating a belated birthday of a dear friend this evening. Then tomorrow is more fun. Oh summer, have you actually arrived?!?!? Say it's true...

Speaking of things that have arrived, our house completion is getting closer! Tomorrow marks day 148 and here are some new pictures for you. Now, I will apologize in advance for these pictures. I remembered to bring my good camera hoping that wonderful progress had been made (which it has!) except my camera battery died :( I cannot figure out this battery. At one moment it works wonderfully, the next moment it doesn't even have enough juice to power on, just flash the battery symbol. I guess I need to get in a better habit of charging it. Moral of the story, your pictures are going to be phone-quality and the color is hard to see.
