Grace

The Lord has really been working on me lately, especially in the area of grace.  Being gracious to myself, to Mr. H, to my students, to my coworkers, to those people I pass on the street...basically everyone.  I have been given incredible, indescribable GRACE that I am to exude and share with everyone around me.  It is not up to my discretion with whom I feel like sharing grace with at the time, I am to share freely and abundantly because it was first offered to me.  And you know what, being graceful is fantastic!  I feel much more peace and sincerity and calmness in myself since I began a diligent effort to be graceful.  Anyway, for what it's worth, here are some passages rattling around in my brain lately...

Proverbs 22:11  "One who loves a pure heart and who speaks with grace will have the king for a friend."

John 1:14 "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

John 1:17 "For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ."

Acts 4:32-35 "32All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need."

I love how the G is made of connecting J and C

Acts 11:23 "When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts."

Romans 3:24 "...and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

Romans 6:14 "For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace."

2 Timothy 1:9 "He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time."

Ephesians 2:8 "8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
