INKED!!!

A couple posts ago I ended by saying I had a fun announcement that would have to wait a little while.  Well, both of my parents have been informed because they don't deserve to hear anything via the internet so here it is:  I GOT INKED!  I love it!!
It's on the inside of my left wrist and I couldn't be more excited.  More explanation is here if you want to read it.  I love that I have constant reminder, which is fairly inconspicuous and easily cover-able, of how I am to live my life:  graciously.  I won't go into all the details because many of them are in my previous post or you can ask me in person next time you see me, I'd love to share!  :)

We weren't planning to have anything but the usual, relaxing, weekend this weekend.  But then something happened...
Friday, late afternoon, Mr. H and I were out retrieving a round of golf shots from the field when what do we hear?... meow, meow  Yep, a sweet little kitty is down in a drain pipe.  All Mr. H had to do was squat down and it came bounding up the small hill right to him.  Now, this kitty has obviously been around people, it LOVES attention and only wants to be right next to you.  But it was in a drain pipe incredibly skinny and malnutritioned.  We can't figure out his story.  We put out some "found kitten" signs in the neighborhood, but no one has called.  We contemplated just keeping the sweet boy until we both have sneezing fits every time we try to spend very much time with him.  Too bad  :(  he really is the sweetest boy!  There is a group in our area called Feline Friends that take in cats and find them forever homes.  We contacted them and they have graciously agreed to give our sweet boy a home.  YAY!!!!

Here are a couple pictures of our weekend guest

Yep, my hubby has a HUGE heart for animals, even ones that he is allergic too.  One of the many things I love about him...

Another fun thing this weekend--personal size brownies!  I don't have pictures because we were busy devouring these cute little yummies.  I followed the instructions exactly from this website and they turned out great!  I used 4oz mason jars from walmart and the box mix made exactly 12 (one box of jars--convenient!) personal size brownies.  These things are sooooo fun to grab and curl up on the couch with.  Delicious!

Well it's about time to take our little friend to his new home and get some dinner.   I hope you have had a great weekend!
