It's amazing what can happen in one week! Day 50 was last Saturday and we have some great progress. Framing goes up fast and makes a huge difference--so fun to watch!
Here is our future home from the street.
I was absolutely giddy when we pulled up and saw this!
All grins and squeals, Mr. H thought I was hilarious.
We picked out our brick and stone colors last week. I can't wait to see them!
I don't want to give too much away, but I'll just tell you it will be mostly brick and that round room in the middle will be stone. Oh gorgeous. Be still my beating heart--I can't wait!
This will be the stairs up to the bonus room.
Garage to the left, kitchen to the right from this angle.
Mr H. standing in our future master bedroom.
Mr. H admiring the round study.
I will admit, this is one of the rooms that I'm most excited about watching come together.
8 foot double glass doors, 14 foot ceilings, and it's round! So fun!
Okay, who am I kidding, I can't wait to watch EVERYTHING come together and get moved in.
From the back.
Outdoor living area in the middle, master bedroom to the right, kitchen to the left, bonus room upstairs.
Just think, if everything goes at planned we'll be LIVING here in a little less than three months. CRAZY!!!!
In other news, have you heard about the standing up brooms lately? I first heard about this on Wednesday at work. Someone had a broom standing up in the middle of the hallway, claiming to have heard that it will work this week but won't in the next month or so. Saying it has something to do with where we are in our rotations/revolutions/planetary orbit/something. Anyway, pics starting popping up on facebook and we became curious.
Here is our standing broom experience.
Now, did our broom stand up for hours all on its own? Yep, it did. Was it surprisingly easy to get it to stand up? Yep, it was. It even teetered a little and rectified itself vertically. Now, will this work all year round and it's just a phenomenon on the internet right now? We think so. We're going to keep checking our "magical broom's" abilities and see how long it will last. We'll let you know...
You should try it for yourself and see if it works. Even if it does work all the time, it's pretty fun!
