Scripture Journal

You remembers my mantra from Sunday, right? You hang on every word of goodness that drips from my lips just like my students, right? HA! The hilarity of that statement... Anyway, my mantra was I am not getting sick. I was slightly successful in that goal. By Tuesday evening I was feeling pretty bad and Wednesday morning I felt like I had been run over by a truck. The body aches, the congestion, the exhaustion, but no fever. The good Lord blessed me with a professional conference day right when I needed one. I don't think I would have been able to teach 8th graders, but I did have enough energy and wherewithal to sit and take notes. I had already planned for a sub and I already had a carpool group lined up. All I had to do was take some meds and get to my carpool location. My very sweet colleague then drove the rest of the way while I tried to stay awake. I was coherent enough by the time we reached our destination to pull together some good thoughts about the training. Okay, they seemed good at the time, but that could have been the medication talking. Upon arriving home that afternoon I passed out on the couch and didn't wake up until Thursday morning. Slight exaggeration, I woke up long enough to eat ice cream for dinner :) This (Thursday) morning when I woke up I felt like a whole new person! I could breath and move without it hurting!!!! I still don't feel 100% but I am loads better than yesterday.

I haven't taken pictures of my new scripture journal yet (I've been a little busy, can't ya tell?) but here are some of the new pages I've created.

The first page is an overview of a book, the next two pages I use for specific chapter studies, and the last page I use to collect thoughts about a specific trait, person, etc. Download and use if you want to :) I promise I'll post pics of my notebook someday.

Check back soon for a house update!
