sorry February, you have just been too hectic!
My chant this weekend has been "I am not getting sick! I am not getting sick!" I have felt a little puny and have been trying to ward it off. Tons of rest and sleep and I think I'm staying well.
As I mentioned in my last post, the weather here has been bordering on Spring-like. Truth--I kind of love it! Spring and fall are my two favorite seasons (although fall ultimately wins) because they have the best weather. It makes me smile to drive with my windows down and relax outside. I sometimes think I could be perfectly content in a place with year-round 70's, but I know I'd end up missing the changing seasons. Also, my new (almost three years already?!) counterpart loves the cold and snow. I guess no year-round 70's for this little family.
But I digress...
With the wonderful weather more house progress has been made. We have dirt and gravel now filling our foundation area. Mr. H and I were able to stand where our floors will soon be! As you can kind of tell from this first picture--we are going to be up high! The way our lot slopes and the way the hills role in the neighborhood, our house is going to be tall! I'm sure it won't look quite as crazy once more houses are filled in.

See the funny shaped area without gravel yet? That's going to be the outdoor living area. I am soooo excited about this particular feature. Fireplace, ceiling fan, outdoor couches, covered from the elements but open to the sunshine and air--perfection! Not to mention all those trees will be staying, adding the wonderfulness of this area. You will probably find me out there every possible moment of the upcoming summer.
I have been working on a fun new scripture journal this week as well. Check back in the next few days for a post about that.
Have a great week, everyone! :)
