Please. Stop. Snowing.

Snow day #1 was fun this week, Snow day #2 was enjoyable...by now (snow day #4 of the week) it's just getting old and I really wish I could safely get across town.

A friend had this lovely pictorial representation of exactly how this week has gone.

Okay, those words turned out really small, here's that they say:
Day 1: SNOW!! No school! No work! Sleds! Snowball fight! Take pictures! OMG! OMG! OMG!
Day 2: Another snow day? That's cool, I guess....I wish I could get out of my driveway.
Day 3: Where does it keep coming from? Why won't it melt? Why are my thoughts so LOUD??!! Has my house always made all this NOISE?!
Day 4:

Haha! Hilarious--no?!  Okay, so it's not quite that bad... I am so thankful to have food, a nice warm home, and a loving husband during this snow storm.  And, while I will have to make the days up in beautiful, sunny June, I'm also thankful that I have absolutely zero pressure to get up in the morning and make it to work.  Mr. H on the other hand has had to wake up all week and personally assess the road conditions.  My poor sweetheart  :(  He has made it in to work for three of my four snow days.

In other news, does anyone need jewelry?  A beaded lanyard for work?  Does anyone know anyone that needs something?  I've been making projects this week and have just about run out of justifiable things to make.  I have at least four new pieces that I haven't worn yet...  But if any of you out there would like to request something, that gives me a whole new something to do!  :)

My new lanyard for work.

A lanyard for a friend, made with team colors!

Two more necklaces that I will gladly wear to work next time I go...

But in all seriousness--please let me know if I can make you anything :)

Back to the topic of snow... this is Mr. H and I's version of shoveling the driveway.  We just don't get it.  Why would we shovel the driveway?  We get in the car while it's still in the garage--hence no snow on our shoes/pants.  We back the car out over the snow and pull back into the garage in the same tracks.  We get back out of the car in the garage and still, so snow on our shoes/pants.  I guess if we had a newspaper being thrown onto our driveway we'd shovel??  maybe?  It just seems like an awful lot of work to be able to simply see the concrete when the whole rest of our world is equally covered in snow.  Like I said, we don't get it....
In this picture, a least notice the beautiful blue sky and sunshine--yesterday.
We're back to snow falling from the sky today  :(

The last thought for today...how many snow days does this dreaded "blizzard" (I didn't make it up, that's what the trained weather professionals are calling it!) have to give us before we can call it a national emergency and I can have my summer vaca back?  Just wondering...

Well to everyone out there, I hope you stay warm!  Next time I make it out of this house I'll let you know :)

I love your blog. So cute! The jewelry is gorgeous too! Love the red and black one! I used to be good at blogging, but no so sure I would be good at it now. I would love a red necklace! Are you working on your portfolio? I hope you are not that bored.

Nice necklaces, Jessie! I really like how the craft room is turning out, too.

On the subject of "Why shovel the driveway?". Well, when you get a good packed layer of ice from the unshoveled snow, and the temps get a little warmer and the ice gets a little wet, I think you'll be able to answer the question yourself! Might make entering and exiting the garage a bit more exiting!

Oops, that last word should have been "exciting". Darn spell checker!
