Crafting!

Oh what fun I've had today!  With the anticipation of snow I went to Hobby Lobby for half priced beads!!  I even ran into my beautiful mother and a long-time friend from church.  Oh happy coincidence.

Here a few pictures of the progressing craft space.  I still have a lot I want to do, but these quick and cheap improvements put a smile on my face.

This picture is from the same general angle as the original picture.
Sorry the quality is so bad, I took all the pictures on my phone today.

Here's a closer look at the new additions.

Three shelves: rescued from the corner of the garage.  Total: $0.00
Bulletin board: 4 cork squares, spray adhesive, 4 pieces of scrapbook paper.  Total: $9.67

This summer I'm thinking I might paint the desk, bookcase, and shelves all black.  I'm not loving the light colored, mismatched, fake woods.  But in the mean time, it'll do :)

In the large area above my new decor I might get large wooden letters, like those found in last picture here "create".  I don't want to put shelves up there, that's just not practical, but something else is definitely needed.

Now, on to other fun developments!  My latest necklace!  It's comprised of a large, metal, decorative disk and four strings of beads, each about 2 1/2 feet long.  There is no clasp, you simply wrap it and wear it however you feel like.  Here are a couple examples.  And sorry again about the picture quality; I used my phone.

A little better look at the color.
It's a mixture of kelly green, lime, some iridescent green/blue, turquoise, and white.

I will admit, I'm pretty excited to wear it out and about.  It really didn't take me long to create either!  I think I see more like this one in the future.

Until next time, happy crafting!

Oh!!  I almost forgot!  Our beautiful new banner is the amaryllis currently blooming in our bathroom window.  My grandparents gave us the bulb for Christmas and one short month later we have beautiful blooms!  I love the power of creation and beauty right before my eyes.

Really enjoyed catching up with your blog this evening. You are an inspiring young lady. Yes, I am biased, but you really are! I am so grateful that you are my daughter.
And you two with the rooster - how funny!
Love you, Mom
