I realize it has been almost two weeks since my last post--oops!!! But some very exciting things have happened :) Mr. H took me on a weekend getaway to Dallas last weekend! We stayed at a gorgeous, historic hotel in the middle of Dallas historic district. It's called the Hotel Adolphus and is absolutely grand. We stayed in a beautiful room (that I will try to remember to post pictures of soon) within walking distance of fun attractions. We spent a lot of time in the Dallas World Aquarium. It was awesome! They have done a fantastic job arranging and decorating the place. You feel as if you're meandering through an exotic land and there are beautiful creatures all around you. It's nothing like the typical straight hallways with boxy exhibits on either side. You wind up and down and all around and view the fun wildlife along the way. We were also within walking distance of Dealey Plaza and the 6th floor museum, although we ended up driving through as we headed out of town. Mr. H also did a great job finding fun places to eat. We just love great food! :) And on our way out of town we just had to stop by Ikea! Yep--LOVE that place!! We spent a good number of hours in there and ended up having to re-arrange the contents of the car to get home. We purchased three of their famous Billy Bookcase system (floor to ceiling!) that are now going up in the office. We also purchased some drapes and hangers to go around the bay windows of the kitchen (still in their packages). These little additions will make great pictures one day, when I finally dig out my camera or just decide to use my phone again...stay tuned.
And the last eventful, but not in a good way, happening since the last post has been about our precious Sully. He is sick. And we can't figure out what is going on. It's horrible. He is still eating and drinking, though not nearly as much. He does have enough energy to hop around, but not like his normal self. Most notably, he hasn't pooped in almost three days. For a rabbit, that's unheard of. From everything we can find on the internet he does not have GI-stasis. Praise the Lord as this could be fatal to our little guy. He seems to have eaten something that is messing with his digestion :( If it doesn't get better soon (like tomorrow!) we are going to the vet. Poor sweet Sully bear :(
One more happy note before signing off. Mr. and I got to have dinner with one set of my grandparents tonight. They have been living nearby for a few months and it has been great to spend some extra time with them! They head back to their home soon and we will miss them dearly, but it has been a blessing that they were close for at least a little while.
To report on my ability to "just chill" that I posted about last time...with the continual support of my Lord and hubby I am continuing to improve. Yesterday was almost completely spent vegging at home worry about NOTHING :) I love it!!!
Have a great week everyone. Be blessed!
