Day 99

Today was a wonderful Saturday! The girls and I decided to have an impromptu craft day, and it was exactly what I needed. Hobby Lobby run, fun crafts, great conversation, and yummy lunch. Ahhhhhhh.....

Here are our designs.
PREFACE: their colors are kind of distorted in these pictures :( taken on a phone indoors.

My door looks so much better (and Springy-er) now!

After craft day, Mr. H and I ran out for some dinner and checked on the house progress.
Now, I know last week I probably got your hopes up and my own about seeing some brick in these new pics, but I forgot one important detail last week.
This:
Yes, that is cement and sand, the two major components of mortar.
Yes, mortar is required to begin the bricking progress.
Yes, these components were delivered to the build site on Thursday afternoon of this week.
Oops......
I kind of jumped the gun last weekend thinking
oh! brick has been delivered! let's just throw it on the house and hope it sticks!
Maybe we'll have some brick up by next weekend??

But, never fear, definite progress was still made this week.

Drum role please.....

INSULATION AND
SHEETROCK!

The gables also went up on the balcony,
lining was put down, and the concrete floor was poured.

Like the little run off lines? I wonder if they had fun with that...
dude, pour it now, he's standing right underneath us!

and here is one of my favorite views :)
I CANNOT wait to have a lounger and sweet tea out there!

Until next time, be blessed!!

It is amazing how the rooms really take shape when they start adding the sheet rock. Looks like they made good progress this week! Thanks for keeping us up to date.
